Welcome to the forums. javascript:emoticon('Welcome')
Welcome

I assume that the unit has Navigon 6 installed. Navigon uses .asc files for POI's and these can be downloaded from the camera download page as either a single file with all cameras, or as 24 files which are speed zoned.

However, as far as I can remember you cannot add custom POIs to the device.
You will need to visit http://www.poiwarner.de and buy POIWarner. This allows you to add tons of POIs from the web, and select sounds to alert you, including voices. It integrates itself with Navigon 6. You add the speed camera files to the poi sub-folder under POIWarner and then select them in the warner software and tailor to your own requirements. The default (certainly for POIWarner 2) is for a voice warning for each camera, and a second warning if you are over the speed limit. (Make sure you set the units to mph; the default is kph!!). There is a new version (V3) especially for Navigon 6.

This is where I am a bit vague, as I do not know how to install POIWarner on a PNA, only a PDA. I think there are instructions provided with the software. However, if there are not, I have used the support desk at POIWarner (via email), and they have always delivered.

I hope you enjoy using your new toy.javascript:emoticon('Driving')
