Can anyone explain to me (or send pictures) of how to attach an external antenna to the Magellan Roadmate 760 http://www.highspeedsat.com/roadmate760.htm? I am shopping for an external antenna, but cannot see where it attaches. Somewhere I read you detach the existing antenna, but I cannot see how tha is done and do not want to damage the unit trying to do it incorrectly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Rotate the built-in antenna to the stop just past the vertical position. A key on the antenna lines up with a slot on the post. You can now pull the antenna off the post. There is a fitting exposed to which you can attach the Meridian or other compatible external antenna. It is the same fitting used on the Meridian Color. Never use a tool to pry off the built-in antenna. You will break the plastic and it will never stay attached after that. To prevent the built-in antenna coming loose on its own, rotate it only to the vertical position and not to the stop position. Part of the key then will be behind the plastic ridge to hold the antenna in place.
