I got a 1Gb San disk from Moby Memory.
Think I paid about £25 or so
Works fine, no problems

Having used Garmin GPS units [eMap-iQue3600-GPSMap 60CS and 60CSx] for 5 years and followed this and other forums for that amount of time:-

Never fill up a 1GB card with maps.
Smaller cards with different areas [UK][your holiday destination]will load quicker to card and will involve less time if you later require to add 1 extra maptile! [You would have resend to card the entire 1GB just to add 1 maptile]
When the unit is struggling to find a 'fix' in the City [high buildings] the re-draw will be quicker using a smaller database[less maps]
Always leave room on the 60CSx card for the new method of automatic track recording!

I use a 512MB card but by all means buy a bigger card, but do not fill it with maps!

I own a GPSMAP 60CSx and have a 2 GB card in it. I travel a lot for work and so I have on the whole of the US and part of Canada on my card. It's about 1.6 GB or so. It does NOT slow down the unit AT ALL. Even searching for all POI's goes very quickly. Maps redraw quickly. And, no matter where I go, I know all data will be available. It takes about 2.5hrs to load all the data the first time onto the unit, but then you never have to do it again, so it saves time in the long run. I definitely would recommend a big card and putting all your maps on it.

Having read of our Garmin users having issues transfering data to the micro SD cards. As you apparently completed this without issue, was there a particular method you chose?
