|
|
Hello there, hope someone can help. I would like to convert the contacts we have into our work email system into both ovr (for my TT6 on N73) and CSV (for my bosses Destinator6 on MDA) files. I had exported the contacts to a csv, cleaned it up (removed all un-needed info, less than 16 headers, etc), then tried to get POIconvertor to convert it. Not much success.
If anyone has any advice to give i would appreciate it. Thanks. |

POI Converter will need a Lat/Lon for each entry in order for it to convert a CSV table to .OV2? _________________ Darren Griffin |

8O Yuk! That would be a lot of work (loads of addresses). Is there another way of created POI's from imported data? |

That all depends on the data!
You haven't said what your database consists of... addresses, postcodes, just email addresses?
There are apparently bulk conversion programs for postcodes, but they will not give very accurate results as some postcodes cover a fairly wide area. |

if you have the postcodes see the url in my sig, its not really maintained anymore so let me know if it doesnt work
As the previous post says, you will only get rough locations with postcodes... _________________ Apologies to all my supporting users, the http://ukpostcodes.boldlygoingnowhere.org/ postcode converter has now been retired.
The ubiquity of full postcode lookups has made it somewhat redundant. I still have the code if anyone needs it. |
