Does anyone know if you can use TomTom 6 with TMC to get the same sort of service as with TomTom Traffic. |

Anyone know if this answer has changed yet?
I am debating if I should upgrade from TTN5 to TTN6 with latest maps (£60) but I really like the idea of RDS TMC, but I don't want to purchase a standalone tomtom (£150+£50).
What are the chances of someone making a Bluetooth RDS TMC received that could work with TTN? |

Very small to none? It would require major changes to the TT navigator software to handle the TMC location information - although I guess you may be able do something with POIs (i.e adding TMC info into POI files - but I don't know if TT Nav would check the files regularly enough. Does it read them once at start-up and that's it?)
Anyway if it could be done I bet the cost would be comparable to buying standalone unit - that's marketing for you. _________________ Phil |
