Charging LED on TomTom ONE - does it go out?

I've just got a new TomTom ONE Regional (UK & ROI) this weekend. As it doesn't come with a home charger, I charged it over USB for the first time. It says in the manual that it takes 4 hours to charge like this, but mine was attached for 8 hours and the charging LED was still on (solid green).

Does that mean it still isn't fully charged, or does the LED just never go out?! Not much point in having a charging light if it doesn't tell you when it's finished!

The green LED is there to tell you that the external supply is connected, and never goes out while it is connected.

To check the charge in the battery, tap the screen in the bottom right corner (the satellite graphic), and there is a battery indicator in the top right corner. ;)

Thanks for the reply! Fair enough, I just thought there might be some indication that it had finished charging when connected to the external supply. No problem if it's meant to work like that. Just wanted to check I didn't have a dodgy battery or something!
