TomTom 5.21 will not read maps after ROM upgrade

Hi!

I have been using TomTom 5.21 for some time on an iPAQ 3970 running PPC 2002 ROM 2.00. Maps are on a 256Mb Compact Flash card in a Navman sleeve. 8)

I bought a new 2.0Gb SD card so I could get the latest maps. Needless to say the iPAQ refused to recognise the new 2.0Gb SD card. I then upgraded the ROM to 2.1. After the upgrade I could access the new SD card, but when I reinstalled TomTom, after the setup steps (including Navman serial driver), TomTom locked up when trying to load maps, even from the original 256Mb Compact Flash card in the Navman sleeve.

Any suggestions?

delete all the .cfg files and try again.

Thanks Lutz. Initially it did not work, but after re-installing TomTom it started!
