Map advice

Hello all,totally new to GPS so go easy please.
I have the Garmin GPS 60csx and want some advice on what maps other than the Mapscource and blue chart are available.
As regards land navigation,road use (UK only) i want to use the turn by turn function of the unit,which i now have to purchase the city navigator sofware or the GB topo,unless there are better options
For Marine use (UKonly),the most detailed would be my choice,but again are there any better options available.
