TomTom 5 to 6 upgrade and swap PDAs at the same time

I own an iPAQ 4150 with TomTom v5 software. I was happy with it and had used it since v3, but it was heavy to carry around along with my phone and GPS receiver. So I've just bought an O2 XDA that has everything built in (with CoPilot software included).

Despite the free software, I prefer TomTom - I guess I am just used to it. I see that I can buy the lated TomTom 6.75 maps for £60 and apparantly they come with free v6 software.

My question: Does the free v6 software come with a new product activation code? I'd already installed v5 on 3 different PDAs (due to warranty replacements) and dont want any hassle trying to install v6 on a new machine. I'm also selling my iPAQ with v5 software included so wouldn't be legally able to keep the activation code for v5 anyway.
