Actually I haven't found anywhere where the embedded map roadspeed is too low. Mostly it seem accurate, sometimes it doesn't know where there are quite new temp reductions. e.g. it thinks the A33 is 50mph but some bits currently are temp 30mph.
This is on the v675.1409 maps

You want to get out a bit more, young man! 8O See my previous post about 56 miles of M5 south from Bridgwater to Exeter, or travel into London along the A4 from the M4, to quote just a couple of easy ones
For information, it will NEVER know about temporary reductions - how often would they need to update the maps for that??? I sometimes wonder if the M5 under speed is due to them using a temporary speed limit, but I can't ever remember a complete stretch that long at temporary speed. How many holiday makers going to Cornwall this summer will be annoyed by this?

I'm surprised that this colour combination was chosen. Its a well known fact that as men age they have difficulty seeing red. So to choose the low contrast red on blue (which is known to be a problem when designing presentations) seems poor. Orange on blue is better or yellow on blue.

Personally I'd have though an inverse of the speed area to blue figs in a white rectangle would have been more visible.

Or try driving around Milton Keynes - TomTom thinks that many of the main dual carriageways have a 30mph speed limit, whereas in reality they are all 70mph. This includes tha nothrbound A5 (but strangely enough, not the southbound!).

My map shows that as 40mph limit, which I'm sure what it was when I went along it last Friday. Drops to 30 after elevated bit.
A217 from M25 has correct varying limits too.

My map shows the limit on the A5 there to be 70mph north & south bound.
You guys need to get newer maps.

Where's this? A1 doesn't run south from the M1.
If you mean the A1 (Barnet Way) south of the M25 my map shows limit as 70mph

By what method are you reading 70mph on A5 Milton Keynes? I have the 675.1409 maps on both my devices (one just Western Europe, the other Western & Central Europe). When I drove northbound along the A5 in Milton Keynes last Thursday, 26th April, at 60mph, the speed limit went invisible flashing red on both devices to say I was exceeding the 30mph speed limit. It did the same on my previous visit several months ago, with the earlier maps.

Obviously I didn't drive over there to check. I setup an advanced planning trip along the route and used demo mode to play it back.
As it show the same in demo as for real on the roads I do know, I assume it does for these too.
Maybe its a function of the software version?
What does yours show in demo mode?

Demo mode from MK9 3AR to BS16 3JX.

A5 = 30mph.

Try the other end of the M1, just north of Doncaster. The A1 runs south from there. It showed as 60mph on my v660 maps when I was in the area 3 weeks ago - I haven't checked since I upgraded to v675 maps.

As for Milton Keynes, I'm there 3 times a week, and have been several times since I upgraded to v675 maps. It does show as 30mph.

Try N53.80955, W1.33488 for the general location of where the A1 runs South from the M1. ;)

Sorry, you're right. I re-ran the demo and waited until it got to the built up area this time.
I always ignore the flashing overspeed gizmo anyway Smile
Not sure of its value even if it worked properly. The car has speedo and the roads have signs..

Ooops, brain not connected to fingers, meant to say South from M62.

Don't know why I typed M1, sorry for confusion.
