When I use my 510 for phone calls, I have to set the volume to almost 100% to be able to hear the caller at anything above 50mph. This is very annoying and means the call quality isnt great. If I bought an FM mount and the audio goes through the radio speakers, would I get a higher volume? Or is there another option?
Also when on a call using the FM mount, it says that music is silenced when directions are given. Is this an option that can be turned off? |

Have you tried turning up the volume while using the device in a call - the TomTom unit uses a differentolume setting while in a call - Mike |

I understand from an earlier post elsewhere that in order to do this, whilst you are in a call you tap the screen to get up a menu which will allow you to increase the volume. _________________ Dennis

When on a call i tap bottom left of the screen and can increase the volume but even at 100% i cannot hear the caller very well. Am I missing something else to increase the volume. The sound on directions is fine. |

Have a read through This Thread which details how to enable phone audio through the audio socket on the mount. Once this line is added all you need to do is connect an FM Transmitter or Aux input cable to the stereo to achieve the same results - sound through the car deck.
Otherwise go for the FM Tansmitter mount and use that to get the sound to the stereo in the car thus amplifying the volume to a more acceptable level - Mike |
