Hi

I have just ordered a Ipaq 2210.

I have bought Tomtom Nav 2 seperate for it.

Now I just need to get it set up.

What do I need to buy now to make it work, as I see a lot of antennas and then receivers, so do I need a receiver and antenna or are some built in?

Also will all receivers work on the Ipaq or only some models?

All very confusing, I have found a lot of bluetooth receivers cheap on ebay via Japan, will they work in UK with a Ipaq?

How do you actually connect the Ipaq to one and charge at the same time? is this by PS2 ????

Help Appreciated in advance! Thumbs Up

You will need to think about a good way to keep the iPAQ in sight - a mount of some kind There are a few vendors for 2210 mounts., including TomTom.

Be aware that the 2210 has it's speaker on the back - one user here has already successfully modified his TomTom mount to fix that issue...

You should go with a bluetooth receive (incidentially again TomTom also offers one). They normally charge separately from the PDA, but for example the TomTom BT receiver comes with a kind of cradle of its own.

Any GPS receivers will work everywhere - just make sure you got the right power supply to charge them (in the case of BT receivers).

The connectors for the serial receivers are all different, some PS2, some RJ11 , some very weird... The serial ones get their power by means of a Y-cable that comes from the cigraette lighter and feeds both the PDA and the receiver. This Y-cable is part of the receiver package - you will need to explicitly order a cable for the PDA you own.
