I have TomTom One NE SatNav with the Consolidated Pocket GPS World Speed Camera POI database loaded. Everything is working fine. I do have a couple problems though, which do not really affect the operation of the TT.
First one is really minor. When I am warned of a red light camera, the traffic light icon in the top left corner of the screen is ‘white/yellow/green’ not red/yellow/green’. The icon on the map is correctly displayed though ‘red/yellow/green’. I know it’s a minor thing, but just wondered if anybody knew what was causing the problem. I checked the icon using a picture viewer via explorer and it is ‘red/yellow/green’.
Second problem. I loaded TT home from the CD and it seems to work - i.e. the TT connects to the computer ok, but TT Home has a problem connecting to the TT website to check for updates. It never works. I checked the version number of TT Home and I think it said version 1.2. From reading the forums, I know people have problems with TT Home, but just wondered if a more recent version is needed.
Any help with the above would be very much appreciated. |

For updates, with your device connected via USB and switched on, you need to Login (icon bottom left of Tom Tom Home), then click on the download entry. (Don't ask me any more - I'm scared stiff of TT Home!!!) _________________ Dennis

Thanks DennisN, I will try that when the computer with TT Home is free (children) - I'm on the laptop at the moment. |

Other people have reported the same with the traffic light icon, I have looked at this about 9 or 10 months ago but we never found a true answer, it seems to work in full colour on some machines and as you describe on others - IIRC it affects the earlier Go devices more than the later ones (but I could be wrong) - Mike |

Thanks for that Mike. I have been reading the forums for a while now and didn't see anything related to the icon problem (I admit I didn't do a search - sorry). Can you or anybody else confirm if this affects all TT One V2's? |

You would be hard pushed to find the post(s) there were only two or three This Was one of them - from time to time I experiance colour washing out on the camera icon (the white back ground turns see through) - not too sure why and after a while it sorts itself out (TT Go -910). - Mike |

Re the red in the icons.
Some time ago, TomTom changed the colour palette in one of the software updates, so the red in the traffic light AND the red surround to the speed signs went grey. All it needed to fix the problem was to slightly adjust the shade of red to a colour that worked.
Have you re-downloaded the icons recently, or are you maybe still using an old version?
If all your speed signs are showing OK with a red surround, you could try opening one of those icons up in any "paint" program on your PC ("MS Paint" would probably do), find the exact shade of red in that one (RGB value) and then open up the traffic light one and adjust the red to the same values.
You might also find that reducing the colour palette down to 8 bit solves it. AFAIK the TTs only used to accept 8 bit olour icons, but now they seem to be OK with higher resolutions too, but they seem to be the first to get dropped when the map display gets busy. |
