Hi,

I've got a 6910 with a built in GPS receiver and have just upgraded from TT5 to TT6. Now TT doesn't appear to be switching my GPS unit on when I fire up tomtom. I've tried to look for a 'configure' setting but I can't find one!!!

Help please!!!

Thanks

If you meen the configure GPS option in the TomTom application tap the sat strength meter (lower right) then tap the sat indicatiors that are top right, now you can see the GPS Status page and can tap the configure button to set up for your hardware - Mike

Sorry Mike but that doesn't help. On the 6910 with the built in GPS all that dooes is set the display (degrees/hours/etc) no way to turn the built in GPS on.

Any help most welcome though.

Please have a read through This Thread, there is a link to a port splitter application, but if you read the 9th or 10th post it contains some port settings that might be worth trying - Mike

Hi I use IPAQ 6945 (69XX series), when I upgraded from 6.010 to 6.030, then Tomtom had more options to configure the GPS connection. The setting that works for me is "connect to serial on COM1" using the internal GPS connection did not work for some reason.
