|
|
Just to remind me please, I am getting TomTom Nav 6 today on a 512Mb Mini SD card from Handtec. I already have a 2Gb SD card in my SPV M600. It it just a case of transfering the files from the smaller card to the bigger card as obviously I would rather use the bigger one and have the smaller one as a backup.
Thanks

Can't see a problem there. It needs to be copied to the top level of the new card. Very sensible in any case - you can lock the original away as a backup.
I downloaded my V6 and maps over the net then moved it to a 2GB SD card.
TomTom don't lock to a specific memory card (do they?) I've never bought anything from them on memory cards. They just lock the maps to a specific PDA. _________________ Phil |

When exploring the contents of your original SD card, make sure you select Tools, Folder Options, View, Show hidden files and folders. Then format your new card and drag and drop the contents of the old card onto it using a card reader that works with a 2GB card.
I mention the last point because I recently bought a 2GB card, never having used bigger than 1GB before. I found I couldn't load the PGPSW safety camera database onto the new card. My card reader was pretty old, and didn't reliably support 2 GB. I bought a new one (iRocks, £15 from Maplins) and all was well
