How easy is it to attach and remove the brodit proclip mounts? Will regular removal damage the clip or the car at all? I'd quite like to get one, but I don't want to leave it 'mounted' in the car when i'm not driving. |

If you want to remove the mount from view then I would sugest you look at the Brodit "move it clip" as an addition to the mount you require, the mount to the vehicle is a secure fastening, depending upon the installation it may include adhesive strips, although the vent mounts don't.
I leave the mounts I have in the car but then this will depend where you live etc, the Pro clip devoid of the actual mount is very difficult to spot - hence the move it clip - Mike |

I have a golf mk iv and just bought a tomtom one gb. I'd really like an alternative to the windscreen mount and the brodit is the closest I can find (652526 ProClip positioned over the center vents). I want to remove all trace of my sat nav when I get out of the car, and hoped that I could remove the Proclip quickly and easily-this doesn't sound like it's practical.
Is there any alternative to the Proclip for my car, which will leave no trace?
Thanks. |

Hi snarff,
I’ve recently installed a Brodit dash mount in a friend's VW Golf Mk IV and it required no sticky pads what so ever. It just snapped in place.

I totally agree with Mike. I leave the Brodit ProClip in my vehicle (with the Move Clip) and people have never noticed it
However if you really want to, then the ProClip should easily come off from the Golf’s dash and snap back.
