Blank Garmin POI Loader Screen with Earthlink Task Panel Running

Problem Description: launched POI Loader (while running Earthlink dial-up and Task Panel running) and the POI Loader screen was blank. No buttons on screen (e.g. no "Next" button). Only thing on screen was the message "Welcome to POI Loader. This program will retrieve... etc." and Garmin POI Loader graphic on left side of screen.

Resolution: Remove Earthlink Task Panel. Reconnect GPS device through USB cable. Relaunch Garmin POI Loader.

Hardware:
Garmin Nuvi 200 (3.10 Software Upgrade)
Dell Dimension C521 (believe unrelated)
PNY Technologies 1GB thumb drive (believe unrelated)

Software:
Earthlink Task Panel running (related to problem)
Microsoft Outlook (believe unrelated)
A bunch of Internet Explorer screens (to Garmin web site, GPS forums) (believe unrelated)

More detail: it took me over an hour to figure this out. I had Earthlink dial-up connected to search GPS forums and the Garmin web site. I eventually noticed I had a PNY Technologies 1GB thumb drive. I initially thought this might be confusing the POI Loader software. In fact, I thought this was the problem. Turns out, at the time I pulled the USB thumb drive, I had just disconnected from Earthlink dialup and removed the Task Panel. I tried to repeat the problem plugging and unplugging the thumb drive. Didn't seem to repeat. Then, it occurred to me that I might have had Earthlink disconnected when I was launching the POI Loader. I disconnected Earthlink with Task Panel up. No success. I took Task Panel down. The POI Loader launched showing the "Next" button. Success. Repeated by putting up Task Panel and taking it down. Problem and Resolution was Repeatable. Confirmed test POIs were loaded on Map screen on Nuvi 200 screen.[/img]
