Garmin 2610 - Postcodes

The post code option on my recently acquired Garmin2610 only offers 4 digits, not the full 7. Anyone know how to get the version with 7 digits?
If not, how do I navigate to my target destination with only 4 digits allowed ....?
Any help welcome.

Can't speak for your GARMIN unit. I have a 660 with full PC search.

However I have had previous systems (TomTom) with 4 digit searches and using this it gives you a subset of streets to use for the destination.

Ah, ha! So, look for subset of streets (if you have such information).

Still looking for a download of seven digit codes, though ........ Confused

Have just ordered one of these. I've been told the latest firmware allows the use of 7 digit postcodes.

It better do or I'm sending mine back.

Hello, my first post as I'm new to the forum, I bought a 2610 a couple of weeks ago for the bargain price of £240 with m/bike mounting kit and full euro mapping, well chuffed I am :D . Anyway to the point, after receiving it I updated the unit software from off the garmin site to the latest 4.80 version and it does not do the full 7 digit postcode only 4. I personally haven't found this a problem as this is my first sat nav so I don't know any difference, it's still better than a paper map. Hope this helps.
