unlock an additional unit

I own (amoungst others) a 2610 Streetpilot which I use mainly in Africa. I recently purchased an update to the South African City Navigator V6. I have installed it on my PC and unlocked it. However when I want to transfer the maps to my 2610 it states "The following maps are not unlocked for your GPS". when I use the Unlock Wizard and use the Unlock a 2nd GPS unit (or any other option), it keeps leading me to the maps for the City Navigator Europe NT V9, which I use on my 2820 on asks which region I wish to unlock.

I cannot figure this out as I can use V5 of the South African City Navigator with no problems.

Any clues or help would be appreciated.

Yes. Unfortunately, due to severe abuse of the second unlock code, Garmin have withdrawn this courtesy. It seems that not only were friends getting together and sharing maps between two of them, but also people were selling the second unlock code on eBay and the like.

So what is the solution? Do you have to buy another mapsource product? This is what I thought I was doing in the first place.

Have you tried registering at Garmin.com and generating a 2nd unlock code there?

I bought it from Garmin and unlocked it as part of the installation process. BUT I think that (due to the original product V4) it was originally intended to be installed on my early Etrex unit.
