I've just purchased a copy of Tom Tom 5 and am trying to get it working with my Navman 4400 Bluetooth GPS - no luck so far.

I can sync up my pocketPC and the 4400, but when I load up tom tom 5, it won't find/recognise the GPS unit.

Anyone got any ideas about if it will work - and how to get it working?

Thanks

It will work; mine does. I'll do it today and report back later.

Ive got the exactly same prob. TomTom 5 installs fine but when i try to get the gps up running with it it dont find it. PocketPC OS connects fine to it and TomTom v 4 worked fine out of the box. Using hp2210.
Anyone else having the same probs? Its quite irritating

OK, I'm reporting back. You don't actually need to pair the GPSr, but it might make thinks smoother if you you, as you won't have to search for the device every time you want to connect to it.

As Alex says, the password is NAVMAN.

Once paired, start TTN5 and go to Show GPS status, then Configure.
Select 'Other NMEA GPS' and a baud rate of 4800.Then on the next page I select Bluetooth Serial Port Com8, which is the next to bottom option. This setting works on both my iPAQ 3970 and 5555. The GPSr will need a clear view of the sky, otherwise you might get an error message like 'No GPS device' on the Status screen.

Thanks all,

sorted. Selected 'other NMEA GPS' baud at 4800, and Com8 and it works great. BTW - this is on an Ipaq 4150.
thanks
