Idiot proof guide if possible?

I am new to sat nav having bought a garmin Nuvi 310T. I was advised by a friend to join this site.
I am interested in the speed camera downloads. Being as complete a novice as you can be,with both a computer and sat nav, can anyone please guide me in the right direction?

Would really appreciate any help, as simple as possible.

It might be worth starting with registration and membership to actually gain access to the required area of the site to be able to download the cameras, see HERE I have sent you a couple of word documents which detail the download/ set-up on the device, I hope they help - Mike
