nuvi 300 help needed please

I have recently purchased a nuvi 300 second hand, only to find now that the voice does not work, I have set the volume to full but still the unit remains silent, any help would be appreciated

Have you tried selecting a different voice in settings?

unfortunatly this unit does not have a choice of voices

it should do... eg french german italian canadian australian american etc etc

try changing to american and if that works then it just means that the english voice is 'dodgy'. run webupdater and after it has checked for firmware i will say it can check for other updates - this is where it will download updated voices etc and any voices that are missing
