My CoPilot Live came witha CoPilot branded BT GPS receiver.

I've recently tried (and failed) to run another GPS application

Copilot finds a fix, but as soon as I switch to the alternate application, it reports no GPS hardware.

Is the branded receiver "locked" in some way to only provide GPS data to the CoPilot application?

If you want to feed the GPS data stream to more than one application at a time, you need the GPSGate utility, or something equivalent.

What if you want more than one application to access the GPS unit, but only one at a time.

For example, the new Google Maps application for WM5. I'd like to be able to use my CoPilot BT GPS with this app. How can I do this?

I have a Treo 700w (WM5) with CP Live 6 installed. I purchased this with
the CP branded BT GPS unit (BTGPS3 / D1598-S).
It works great.

Com settings I need help with:

Start / Setting / System / GPS / Programs / GPS program port:
Start / Setting / System / GPS / Hardware / GPS hardware port & Baud rate:
Start / Setting / System / GPS / Access / Manage GPS automatically
(checked or not checked?)
