Annoying Map Update screen

Now my i3 is a year old I get an annoying Map Update screen come up every time |I switch it on...

Any way of getting rid of this ?

Hi Greg

Yes.

First be sure to back up your Favourites using easyGPS which is a freeware utility which can be downloaded from here.

To download the favourites from the unit use the 'Receive' function, saving to your PC hard drive.

Then it's simply a case of doing a hard reset on your unit (hold down Power, Scroll and Back) and okaying the 'erase all user data' message. This makes the message go away.

Then you can load the favourites back to your GPS unit using the 'Send' function.
