You can move it to the correct location on the page provided for submitting new POI and/ or changes, click Here for that page. There are details as to how its used on the page, at some point in the near future the POI File will be ammended and everyone benefits from you altering the data to increase the accuracy (Zoom in to 500M or less to see the POI appear on the map) - Mike |

Hi,
I just tried to download a few POIs, and got nothing except for a nice and empty white page. I tried with both IE7 & FF with the same result : rien ! (yep I did try to limit the number of pois, used the show link, the group/ungroup sub cat with the same result, an empty white page).
Does your system filter out the French visitors, or am I simply unlucky ?
Anyway thanks for eveything, but I have to say that the POI system at Gpspassion France is probably a lot less sophisticated but works well at first try.
Too bad they don't have much on UK.
I will try again later |

Same problem here. Just a white screen when you try to download combined PoS's. Shame as I needed them for a holiday tommorrow. |

When using the combine function make sure the 'show link' check box is selected and keep the actual number of POI files in the combined category is less than 20, see if this helps - Mike |

The POI for Currys in Cheltenham should be for Comet (N51.91870 W2.10463) (change icon).
Add a new POI for Currys beside PC World (N51.91417 W2.10078).
Add a POI for B&Q in Evesham N52.07832 W1.93868. |

It's pretty straight forward. _________________ Richard

Hi all! I'm new to all this messaging on boards etc so bare with me! (and no, I don't mean we all have to take our clothes off ) Ok... QUESTION: Regarding the POI download... are they compatible with the new TOMTOM ONE Version3 ? If so, how do I load the downloaded POI onto it? I'll be grateful for any help. |

All TomTom Units follow the same method for 3rd Party POIs.
Each POI category comprises an OV2 File and a BMP that has the same name.
Both files are copied to the Map Folder, whether it be on an SD Card, or Internal Memory.
It's a similar method to installing the Speed Cameras.
The FAQs Page links to a number of How To ... guides.
The most important is doing a Full Backup first. _________________ Richard

Bit weird, so here's some feedback
My first POI download for TT520
I am very experienced IT tutor.
Firefox 2.7
Download page visible - but the check boxes not displaying to select catagories. failed.
3 attempts all failures to show checkboxes.
IE6
Slow, but checkboxes visible, however the download link results in Code 80, not available.
A re-start and clicking Show Link, functions
the link opens a zip file and 7-zip program can see all the contents of the file
So can xplorer2 (well worth having explorer 2 pane wonder program and its free).
Refreshed Firefox, re-opened page and voila, checkboxes visible.
That is illogical, Captain. |
