Good afternoon and thanks for a very informative forum. I should probably be joining the Sat Nav revolution in the next few days and have done a wealth of research. I've waited for a week for the I3 to get back in stock at £90 or £100 but it hasn't happened just yet.

Today, I'm being tempted by the C510 for £140. I don't want to pay anymore than this but this would seem to be well worthy of £10 more than the I3. I would welcome people's advice who have the C510 (or don't!) as to whether this would be a good one to get or whether I should stay well away from.

Thanks in advance.

The C510 is a good unit and worth the money. I think the reason that there is less about it than other units is the fact that the Nuvi is very popular because if its size and the Tomtoms are more widely known and popular. As far as function goes the C510 offers everything the Nuvi 300 offers. The TT ONE offers a bluetooth phone connection(this cannot be used for handsfree use) so that you can use PLUS services like traffic, whereas the C510 can connect to a TMC traffic module. If you were thinking of getting the TMC module or european maps look at the C510Deluxe for £200 from Halfords.

Thank-you very much Portman - I'd seen a few comments and generally they were positive; the odd negative related to the additional features of the D, which to be honest we don't need. I always try and do my research before making a purchase such as this one; there is loads about the I3 for example but not too much on the 510, so its great to get some feedback from a user.

At £140 it would seem to represent decent value. Thanks again and other opinions always welcomed
