Sorry about the length of the post, but i'm really in need of help.

PLEASE HELP WITH INSTALLATION PROBLEM

Hello,

I have owned a HP Ipaq h2220 pocket pc for about 1 year now. At the same time I purchased the PDA I also purchased a SysOn Compact Flash 256mb Memory & GPS all in one card. The reason I bought the card was so that I could use TomTom sat nav on my PDA, which worked fine the first time round. I installed the CF memory onto my PDA which created a new file called ‘Mounted Volume’ within this file there were two separate files called ‘SysOn CF Me……. & User Manual. I copied the Syson CF Memory file to the route file on ‘My Device just incase I removed this from the CF card. I installed TomTom onto a 1gb scandisk memory card. Once all installed onto PDA I started TomTom and paired the two devices using the BAUD rate setting at 4800bps.

Everything worked very, very, well, the red light on the CF card was constantly on and I always found/had signal.

One day I had some files that needed removing from my PDA which would not disappear dispite trying to remove manually………this caused me to carry out a complete system reset (not soft reset).

When I started the device up again TomTom and the files contained within ‘Mounted Volume’ had been removed as well as all of my task’s, contact’s etc etc.

I paired my device with activsync and regained the contacts, tasks and appointments I had lost.

I reinstalled the CF card as per the installation guide (and as per before), when i insterted the card into the top of the PDA i got the beeping sound, but this time I noticed that‘Mounted Volume’ was on ‘My Device’ but the files contained within the 'Mounted Volume' file were not there as per the installing guide and my previou installation. I tried installing this progam off the cd several times and these files still did not appear inside the folder. I installed TomTom 5 as before too. Once both of these programs were installed onto my PDA i started TomTom up and set up as before using baud rate of 4800bps and selecting syson chip. This time the CF card red light only flashed and was never a constant red light. After walking around outside for about 3 days I never managed to make the card pick up a full signal (constant red light). Under the GPS Status section on TomTom 5 I had four fully lit up bars in grey but never managed to get signal dispite pairing the device and setting the Baud rate correctly.

I went into Programs-Settings-Memory-Remove Programs highlighted elsDMMC Flash Card Driver to try and uninstall, I pressed remove and came up with the following error message.

Uninstall unsuccessful. The program was not removed because these files are in use or are read only. Go into running programs and hit stop all.

\windows\elSerial.dll
\windows\sdmmcdsk.dll

I went into running programs and there were no programs on the list!

I went into the windows file and couldn’t find these files either!

Please advise why I can’t remove FlashDisk!
Please advise why the cards GPS is not working this time!
Please advise why these files are appearing under Mounted Volume file and are these need for the GPS to work correctly!

Please, please, please help me out so I can get everything back to normal.

Kind Regards

Adam :D :D :D :D
