Quote: | Mike, does the audio accompanying the video play back through the external sound socket? (turn the volume down and plug some ear phones in to the socket to try it) - I seem to remember trying this a while ago and the sound refused to play through anything but the TomTom's own internal speaker - Mike |
VIDEO MAKAYAMA
Sound was audible in the headphones when plugged into the Tomtom 910,the sound also comes through the tomtom speaker as well.
Mp3s(tomtom jukebox)
Sound was audible in the headphones when plugged into the tomtom 910,no music can be heard from the tomtom speaker.Spoken directions can be heard from the tomtom speaker but not through the headphones. The mp3 music cuts out briefly in the hedphones when the spoken directions come through the tomtom speaker.
Also i have had the makayama video playing on the tomtom 910 with a fm transmitter playing the audio into the car radio. The sound can also be heard on the tomtom speaker.IF you lower the tomtom sound down you get no audio on either tomtom or transmitter.

You need to check a few more options on your unit - it should be possible to get spoken Nav prompts, camera warnings and mp3 music through the output socket of the mount, then either via the headphones or FM Transmitter (now they are legal to use).
I don't recall ever getting Makayama to play through anything but the TomTom speaker, I will have another mess around with this though.
To get your mp3 and spoken comands through the external socket go to Change Preferences/ Speaker Preferences and make sure both check boxes are selected (if there is nothing plugged into the output socket the device will still use the inbuilt speaker by default) - Mike |

I can't see the UK on the list of legal to use??? |
Legal in UK since 8th December 2006, so long as CE marked (many from eBay are NOT!)
