Yeah right . . . . do I have to show you a photocopy of my proof of purchase?

I would have thought by the way I described it, and the many posts that I have made on this forum, I would have been considered as NOT being a pirate!! Rolling Eyes

No, you don't have to show me anything and I do not consider you a pirate. I was merely stating fact. Rolling Eyes Did you contact TomTom and explain your situation to them? In the past they have provided a link on their site to customers who have had problems with the postcode zipfile. Unfortunately, some of those same customers have then made this information freely available by publishing the link.

Tim,

The whole crux of my question was where did the new version come from? The downloaded CAB file doesn't contain it and re-downloading it produced the same problem.

I didn't contact TomTom because it took me 3 months to get the 'latest' map which I paid for back in September.

Now that I have what I paid for I thought I'd give 'em a rest.

Have a nice weekend

Bodger

Please don't post links to where this software can be downloaded - if you need it please contact TomTom who will be able to offer advice, we do not permitt the sharing of software via the forum - Thanks - Mike

I wish I'd never asked the simple question of why I ended up with a 0 byte new Postal Code file after downloading the new Western Europe map.

I still don't know why - and as no one appears to understand my question, Mods PLEASE lock this post so we can all get on with the rest of our lives.

it would be interesting to find out who has the latest post codes.. when and what they are issued with.. with file sizes going from 6 meg to 8 meg it suggests there must be lots missing from the older set..

i wouldnt mind perhaps paying for the latest ones but i certainly aint gonna fork out for a whole new map (having already just done so) for em..
