So you've had a Tom Tom sat nav for 2 years, relying on it for work you use it daily and so far haven't apparently had any problems (or at least none that you've had to return it back to TT for repair).
That sounds like a fairly good endorsement to me !! |

I don't think anyone is questioning the abilities of the unit (other than my belief that the connections on the Rider are a flawed design - time will tell) what sucks is the service. |

No, No, what I'm saying is that if I was going to be without it if it went wrong for more than a week, I would scrap it and buy new.
Also, the reports of the new mapping do not bode well.
Regards, Clive. |

Fair enough, but I suspect that you'll almost certainly be buying new as you'll be lucky to get a repair done on most things and returned within a week. |

I guess we're all getting pretty bored with "My XXX broke, and I've waited Y months to get it fixed".
options.
Easiest - get Which? involved, SOGA, suppliers invariable listen.
Buy a new unit, tell the supplier to refund the cost, charge them daily interest.
Have a backup unit, but since after a few months these users can do without a GPS, then maybe it's not so critically important in the first place! |
