Recently got a garmin i3, however it does not seem to give out voice controls directions.

I have only used the unit with batteries in the car, if that has anything to do with it and they are only showing at about 30% power left (1 to 2 blobs).

I've tried changing the voice language as the garmin website suggests but no avail.

I have noticed that the volume level is not spoken when changing the level, however if I connect to my pc indoors the unit does speak the volume level when i change it.

I hope it's just because i've not connected the power cable in the car!

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks
Mat

battery level seems pretty low... try using the car power adaptor or make sure you have the right type of battery selected (nimh/rechargeable or alkaline)

probably best to use the car power adaptor but keep batteries in it for messing about when not in the car

The voice controls worked as soon as I used the power adaptor in the car, the unit must switch off voice control if the battery level is low.

It does. Once the "Low Battery" warning has flashed up the sound goes off.
