Hi

Going on holidays soon and bought a new start 25 with Europe map.

I thought my existing TMC lead would work, but on inspection, there is a difference, one has a micro USB the other a mini USB - so I got an adaptor.

now the charging is working, but in indication of TMC signal

any ideas

thanks

The new receiver ships with a Mini USB connector PLUS micro USB adaptor (ie. works on old and new models) and they now only sell (direct) the new adaptors

So I don't see why - if you had an adaptor - it wouldn't work, and for the price of an adaptor, bound to be worth a try!

Unless someone knows different...!

But isn't that the other way round, xtraseller?

If the OLD receiver doesn't work on new models or software, then no adapter is going to help.

Whereas the NEW receiver may be designed to work on all models - with an adapter if required.

No the NEW lead works DIRECTLY in to older (Mini-USB) units, with the (included) adapter allowing them to fit in to new devices

Old, no doubt, but the way it is

So that's connections sorted, but with regards compatibility, I do not know - all I was saying was for the price of an adapter, you could find out

The OP already tried with the adapter (as he wrote in the post) and it doesn't work, so I think this closes the question.

I'm waiting for a new Tmc lead off eBay. Fingers crossed. If I had known before that my old Tmc would not work, I'd spent the extra on a unit with live hd traffic. As I purchased from halfords they are very unfair with returns etc...
