| i'm running my 700 off map 588. there's 20% off maps downloaded off the tomtom site. i'm tempted by a new £30 UK map rather than the full western europe which i'll no doubt never use anyway...... |

Not much at all.
The TomTom site (on the new map page) has a box to enter your product code and they will tell you if THEY think it is worth updating. Basically the answer for 6.5 or 6.6 is "no". |

It also appears that the 6.5 map is more up todate than the 6.6

This is compareing the 6.5 on my XDA II which was from the Western Europe seemless map from the DVD compared to a friends Ipac that was was running V5 upgraded to 6.6 as a download from TomTom via home.

They were available for upgrading 18months ago. Age is difficult to put a figure to.
