thanks much apprecaited
i bought this ipaq 6365
with a legal copy of tomtom 5
when i try to activate the maps
icannot get the activation screen
so looks like i will have to buy tomtom6

no, that is not necessary. Describe in detail what you did, and where you get stuck. "I cannot get the activation screen" is not helpful.

i input prduct code ok
iinput device code
it tells me that product is
tomtom map 2005 western europe
it gives me activation cod
i go to step 3ativation
this is where i get no ativation screen
on pda

do you get "No activation", no activation, "Not a valid code" or nothing at all?

it tells me device is right
it gives me activation code
i go to step 3
activation screen
click that
it does not give me this screen
no messages are dispayed

Download version 5.21 from the TomTom website, and install it again.
