I have just upgraded to SmartST 2005 & deleted all the old & replaced with latest maps etc. for UK. I downloaded, (no ploblem but took awhile) all new France mapping on a new SanDiskII SD 512 card.
The problem is I have to, (obviously) take out the Navman SD to run France But trying to plan a journey fot time, mileage etc. is not possible as the Uk maps are on the Navman SD. ('m not good at computers!) Should I have loaded the new UK maps on the Pin 300 memory? How do I do that if the answer is yes? Your confused. My first forum, sorry it's long winded. (Should have left that bit off!) Mike. |

Can't you fit both UK and France onto your new SD card? _________________ Tim |

Thanks Tim. I had trouble getting the PiN300 to connect to the PC to download my new 2005 French maps last week but it finally connected. Now following your helpful suggestion to load UK maps on new SD, (I'll only need UK maps from here in Northampton, to Dover or Portsmouth ferries for France), now I can't get the Activesync to connect at all. When I plug & unplug either end of the PiN 300 to PC USB cable to their respective sockets, the ding-dong & dong-ding chime sounds. Showing, I guess, the system is seeing the plug & unplug action. Any ideas?
This is my first ever forum participation, ain't it wonderful? Thanks for you prompt reply.
Regards, Mike. (bendyfurd). |

Do you make sure that you close SmartST on the PiN? Leaving it running can cause problems. Also, the edge connector on the PiN is a bit iffy, IIRC. _________________ Tim |
