It's a known bug which I reported to Evesham over 3 weeks ago. It seems that the Backup CD is the problem as it only happened to me once I reinstalled the software. This happened with 3 units I've had, I now avoid using the Backup CD.

Just have to sit back and wait for an update if we ever get one as I've notced a few bugs with the software. You could always return the unit for replacement under the 30day no questions asked gaurantee at ASDA.

thanks, how do you avoid using the cd if you need to do a restore

Back up the files from your unit directly on to your pc

How do you hack past the boot screen to get to the OS, I've got the 7700.

hi ive just joined the forum and and own a 6200 i am wondering is it possible to update the 6200 with the maps of the 7700 aa vive as my friend is buying a 7700 vive europe and i want the europe maps ....also is there a way of using the new 7700 software on a 6200 as it looks a lot better ...i may have bought a 6200 too early and waited for the 7700 ...please help

ok i downloaded it and managed to get into the system
i tried to use activesync and it wont find my device.

i did that and it says no gps device but after a while it worked for one second and then it just looses connection and doesnt connect back up.
