I Have a vectra 2.5 on an R reg and fitted the wring myself. Ok i did not hard wire it but fitted the wire from tne CIG lighter to where I wanted it behind the dash. I have been happy with this set up as can remove the NUVI and TMC but keppin mount and wire in place. If this helps OK but jus wanted to let you know what i have done. |

I hard wired an ignition controlled ciggy lighter in under the dash, so when you turn on, the sat nav turns on too.
All the cables are hidden, and I've got a remote antenna for my unit, and the unit it hidden away, but visible when I need it. _________________ i3 user since November '05

Suppose it depends on what store you go to, I have been to two Halfords stores now with my BMW. Once for a handsfree kit and the other for sat nav hardwire both times were carried out to a level of excellence. Kind of guess that it's the smae with a lot of big companies that there are exceptions to the norm and these you tend to hear abouit more. |
