How to Make TT Navigator 6 Run Completely from SD Card?

Hi People,

I have Tomtom Navigator 6, Orange SPV M200 (PDA) and a 2Gb SD Card.

I Did have tomtom installed but both the main and batery backup ran flat, and if anyone has an SPV they will know that when it goes flat it looses EVERYTHING!! Stupid i know, but work gave me the PDA, so i aint to fussed.

I need to know how to install TomTom completely onto the SD card... i mean every single file from tomtom to run from the SD card, so that next time the battery goes i just have to boot it back up and the tomtom will still be ok.

Well, not entirely. There is one file that is always in main memory

\My Documents\TomTom\currentmap.dat

However, on a genuine TomTom version that file can get recreated if it is missing.

If you are using custom menus then you will also need a backup of the

\TomTom\SdkRegistry

folder.

You can copy both folders to storage card, and after the PDA has recovered, copy them back.
