Just bought a used GO 710 off ebay and its been delivered with a 510 sd card installed only giving major roads of europe and not full street level mapping, I thought that the 510 sd card wouldnt work on the 710, Tried contacting the seller to advise but he hasnt come back to me. Is there anything i can do ie: a copy of a genuine 710 sd card onto a 2gig sd card. Will this work as obviously my 710 is licenced.

Basically a 710 is the same machine as a 510 it just has street level maps of europe instead of the street level maps of gb with major routes of europe. If you can find a western european map then it should work. If the seller doesn't provide you with the correct maps it might be worthwhile contacting Ebay about this and certainly paypal if you paid through them. At the very least a negative feedback would be called for, the item was not as advertised.

I have been driving these on a regular basis (hire cars supplied via work) for the past few years and never experianced a problem with my GPS equipment picking up a signal through the windscreen. The TT x10 units have a decent GPS reciever on board and shouldn't struggle under a heated windsceen, it is Athermic glass that presents a bigger problem.
I have used my 910 numerous times without a problem relating to GPS reception, in all sorts of cars, the modern Mondeo does not present a problem - Mike

Its the heat shielded screens that cause the problems. Athermic to be technical.

Mostly Renault, Citroen and Puegeot.
