TomTom 5 running slowly on N520

I've just installed TTN5 on my new Pocket Loox N520.

I haven't yet got it to communicate with the built in gps, but my bigest problem at the moment is that it's running so slowly (about 45 second wait between option menu screen changes).

There are no other applications running on the pda, and all other programs run fine still. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?
