Nuvi memory full

I have a 310d and I use it all the time for work (sales Rep). I sell building materials and I put all of my customer sites in it etc.

It keeps flashing up “memory Full”, I have a 256 SD Card in it too.

Do I have to tell it to store the info on the card or will it do it automatically?

I have looked on the on screen menus and cant find anything to do with the memory status. Any Ideas?

I had a similar mesage on a 360. Knew I had plenty of storage left on it. Mine starterd doing this after a sw update (sorry can't remember which and was probably a BETA)

I cured it by doing a hard reset - not had the probelm since.
