as anyone encountered problems with bluetooth gps and tomtom?
I've just bought a bluetooth gps, i can connect to tomtom with it fine, baud 9800, but when i drive off the map lags behind the where i really am on the road, making the whole thing useless.. i know my tomtom works ok because i've still got my old gps hardwired cradle so it must be a bluetooth setting i'm missing..
can anyone suggest some changes??? 8O

If you gave a bit more information as to which XDA, Make model and same for bluetooth device and which version of TomTom you are using then people will be able to help you. _________________ Graham.

Gaz, have you got the O2 Active interface software loaded on the device? if you have an O2 ROM loaded this is a possibility, if so remove it, this software slowes the unit down.
More probable cause of your problem, is too many POI's enabled, go to Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Enable-Disable POI's and make sure NON are selected.
Now go to Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn When Near POI and set up any POI's that you want to warn of.
This method still achieves camera warnings, but it doesn't slow the device down. I have been using an XDAIIs which is the same device appart from the colour, it works fine with TomTom - Mike
