Crying or Very sad Its driving me mad this!! I have downloaded LIZ prompts from Rays site, copied them into my UK and IE map and bells, cuckoos remain. I do note that I have in the root folder all the pocket gps cameras that were linked to my previous GB map only which I have deleted. Do you think thats whats stopping the voice? It does still have the data.chk file present but not in my new UK and IE map folder. I won't touch it yet as I have hope in you out there to help!!
cheers

If you've downloaded lizprompts22050.zip, have you renamed the contents to match the names of the camera OV2s?

keefrto, The ogg files AND the ov2 AND the bmp files that make up the POI file set all need to be in the map folder, they are of little use in the root of the memory card - put them where they need to be then configure each camera warning (if you have already done this do it again once the files are in place) - the action of configiguring the warning allows the TomTom software to see the ogg files are present and it will use them by default.

One other often seen problem is the file neme extension being repeated resulting in my_poi_file_name.ogg.ogg this will not work - please see HERE for instructions on how to resolve this - Mike

No need, mate!
Several full sets have already been made up.
For "Liz" your best bet is probably 'Mullet's versions from HERE (6th post down).

The sounds "With Siren" have a short siren waning before the actual voice warning.
The sounds "Without" as it says, without a siren warning, just the normal voice warning.

If you download a audio program, something like "Audacity" which is a free program you can then play the .OGG files first.

You do know that you can plan & play a route from the comfort of your armchair, don't you?

If you are not getting the sound alert, then the chances are that you have not put the sound (Voice) files into the correct folder.

Sorry I don't know the TTG ???

as far as I am aware the voices are in the correct file. They always work when I am actually using the 300 but it has never made the alert when using demo. I have just downloaded the voices as recommended by Andy above, assuming I did not have to delete the other voices i made on my ttg300 its should work? i.e. just over ride liz old voice alerts for this new liz alert??

The only thing I have found in the past is if the demo speed is above "about 85%" the sounds do not always work.

If you are trying on a faster speed, as you say the nearest camera is 15 miles away, then slow it down and try again.

Bit of a pain having to wait I know but if it works, !!
Also make sure they are not set to only warn if on a programed route.
