Ipod and Warnings

Hi sorry if already answered by couldn't find by searching. Is there any way to make tomtom mute the music to say 50% vol rather than stopping it completely.. very annoying when lots of instructions.

Also how can I stop being told twice about directions, I would rather just be told in advance.
