Can I connect to "traffic" without using as "

Hi, can anyone help please? I've just rec'd a new replacement Go910. When my last one worked I could use the TomTom Traffic service without using my phone (SE K800) as a hands free device but with the new one it just automatically connects to the phone all the time and all incoming calls come through the GO unit. I don't want this as I prefer to use an "ear" bluetooth device. To summarise .... I want to be able to use the GO for "traffic" only and not have it automatically connect to the phone as my bluetooth device. Does that make sense and can anyone help? Any advice will be much appreciated.

The option should be there

go to change preferences - bluetoothe preferences - advanced and untick enable hads-free calling
