New TTONE v2 is basically a repackaged TTONE. It is smaller, sleeker and considerably lighter than the original. It doesn't come with a mains charger, but charges through the mini USB socket. The supplied car charger fits into this socket. It also charges whilst plugged into a PC (unlike the old one). Has a "passive" windscreen mount which is excellent - no wobbles even at speed and on rough ground.

It has bluetooth connection to a m/phone, but only to receive data (weather, traffic - via subscription - etc). It doesn't act as a bluetooth handsfree for your phone.

I've just got a v2 and think its great. Definitely a better looking system than the original. For £200 there's not a lot that can compete.

Had mine a few days, having sold my iPAQ rz1710 on eBay. Have to say the TomTom one v2 GB has been fantastic so far. Software is superb - far better I feel compared to the others on the market. Plus, like PDAs, you can make the unit worthless if stolen by adding a password via the TomTom Home software! 8)

Got just one more test - does the mapping software have the new A1(M) between Pontefract and York..?!?! We'll see!
