|
|
On two recent trips to large towns I had ahuge problem because although doing well under 30mph if I attempted to accelerate by even one or two mph-still no where near 30, the audible speed warning (Bong) cuts out the voice direction. This meant I was missing turns. Is there any way to disable this audible warning. Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but I have done a search with no result. |

Well under 30 MPH usually means 19MPH or above for a 30 warning on the Garmin i3, you probably loaded the camera POIs with the POILoader application left at default i.e. KPH, re-load the POI's but this time make sure you set the unit of measurement to MPH instead - Mike |

Hi,
The i3 will give you a warning bong at approx 75% of the target speed i.e in a 30 mph zone it will warn you at approx 23 mph (just one bong and a red warning banner). If you then go over the target speed it will will bong continuously until you slow down.
I am aware that the initial warning bong can cut in over the voice prompts, so I tend to have a glance at the screen to look for the big white arrow!!
I don't thing the warning can be turned off without removing the speed cam POI's.
Hope this helps.
