Traffic & Tom Tom One

I have just bought a Tom Tom One Regional (New Shape) and I'm trying to get Traffic to work.

Have tried using 2 different phones a Nokia N80 and a Samsung D600, all I get after the "Congratulations your wireless connection is established" and try to use Traffic I just get "An error occurred on your Tom Tom device. Please try again"

Any ideas?

We all seem to be getting that, not sure why, have posted to tt support but no reply yet.

Just called the support line, apparently it wont work at the moment with any of the new version TT 1's. Their engineers are working on a fix. They said to call back next week to check for developments.

Totally agree, product, after product rushed, not tested properly, profit before quality & customer satisfaction.

So the problems noted to date with the TT1 v2 are:

1. No traffic
2. Does not function with Home software
3. Problems with multiple POI's warnings although there is a "fix" for this

I've logged a call on their support portal as I have the same issue with my TomTom One Rev 2 (GB) when attempting to use the Traffic service.

Have just had reply from TomTom support :-

"On the 12/09/2006 there was an issue with traffic for the new TomTom ONE's. The issue should be resolved now so you can try again"

So give it a go..... I will when I get home.

Traffic is still broke.

It was broken earlier today and I've just tried again now.

Tried again, still not working, so much for TomTom's fix.

Another call to TomTom needed.

I suspect this will take a software/firmware update to fix.

Message back from TomTom support:-

"The traffic came back on today as of 14.58. That is from the technical people who deal with them issues."

So give it yet another go, I will when my TomTom returns from its trip to the Robbie concert.

I just retried and the error when attempting to update traffic has stopped occurring. Can anyone else confirm the same ?
