Hi All

glad i found you,i am new to all this and looking for advice. I am planning to move to Spain in the next few month and looking to drive through France to Spain. To meet those ends i have just ordered Auotroute 2004 software and looking for a GPS mouse

I am considering the Rikaline 6010 on E bay, As this is a one off trip i will be connecting to my laptop What i need to know is Does the Software or the gps mouse make the set up Voice enabled

As i am travelling alone i cannot look at the screen all the time and need voice activation, will this set up do the job, Auotroute 2004, Rikaline 6010, and notebook.

Does the Voice activation come from the software or the GPS mouse

If not would people please advise a set up of software and GPS mouse for voice recognition

Autoroute is a route planning program, not a navigation program. You won't get voice prompts out of it. (I believe there is an add-on somewhere that allows to do that). You would need to get a true navigation program like CoPilot 7 or InfoMap Navigator. (even though I cannot really make friends with the idea of using a laptop for navigation Confused )

Thanks Ibendlin

I chose autoroute 2004 for its european coverage, but voice activation is a must as i am travelling alone. so i am loooking for voice activated software for europe (I am ok in in UK)

As this is a one off i want to keep the costs down and with driving a 7.5 tonne lorry will have loads of room for a laptop

Thanks for advise

What's your cost threshold? I would have recommended Deluo Routis to you but their european maps are still a few weeks away. InfoMap Navigator seems to be priced pretty low - 50 quid...

Hi

my budget is around £150 for the software and a GPS mouse, as i am going to live in Spain full time European maps are more inportant than UK, as i might at a later date buy a hand held and make the system permenate, but for now all i need is the software and GPS. I am not moving for another month so does my budget stretch to the software you suggested, if so are you able to supply a link without breaking any rules

Thanks again

There are a few posts here from people who ordered Rikaline 6010 from ebay and ended up with Rikaline 6012 (nowhere near as good) - Read back through these posts.
