Hi all,

Can anyone help me please? I have just purchased a GPslim 236 and am trying to get it to work with my Ipaq 4150.

In active connections it shows in the outgoing connections window but not in the incoming connections. It does on my home PC and appears to work fine!

I have tried emailing the vendor and Holux UK, but no replies yet - have also tried phoning Holux today but "non of our operators are available".

It was purchased from one of their dealers so I assume it is up to date!

Any tips would be great - thanks

Dave

Dave, Have you actually connected to the GPS? - once you are in the Bluetooth Manager and can see the GPSlim236 icon, tap and hold it, from the pop-up box select "Connect" two small green arrows should then appear under the icon indicating you are connected.
It might be worth switching off the 236 then switch it back on, wait for 10 seconds before selecting the connect as above - Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the quick reply!

Yep it finds it in BT manager and can connect, have tried re-setting Ipaq and 236.

Home PC finds it okay, and the GPS viewer running from the PC finds it - but not on the Ipaq - scan does not find it at all even though it shows in the outgoing section!

Tried all over the weekend and it's driving me nuts! Confused

Cheers

Dave

Okay - got it working following a call to the supplier!

It does work despite GPSviewer not finding it during a scan - TomTom is set to 'Other cable NMEA GPS' with a baud rate of 38400 on Com port 5.

Sometimes takes a while to find the 236 but used it today for 3-4 hours and it never missed a beat!

Cheers

Dave
